Fanny Michel attaches great importance to being as clear as possible about how we process your personal data. Do you want to know more in detail about why we process your personal data? Then you can read about this at the end of this policy. There we describe in more detail why we process your personal data, which data we process and for how long we process your personal data.
How do we protect your personal data?
We and our partners have taken several organizational as well as technical security measures to protect your personal data. We work actively to comply with the EU’s data protection regulation (GDPR). We have several IT systems and functions that help us protect your personal data from illegal or unauthorized processing. Furthermore, we have internal procedures that ensure that no more people than necessary have access to your data.
Do you have to provide your personal data to us and what happens if you don’t?
In order for us to be able to provide you with certain services and for it to be possible to enter into an agreement with Fanny Michel, it is required that you provide certain personal data to us. If you do not provide the personal data that is necessary for us to be able to fulfill our agreement with you, we can e.g. not deliver your goods.
If you do not provide the information required for a treatment that we do based on your consent, we will not be able to process your personal data for this purpose. Your consent is required e.g. if you want to continue to receive newsletters, text messages and postal messages containing information and offers to you for a longer period than the period we otherwise send you information (see below).
Who can access your personal data?
Your personal data is processed as a starting point only by Fanny Michel. However, your personal data can be shared outside of Fanny Michel if, e.g. is necessary to fulfill our agreement with you and for us to be able to get help with things that are not our core business and thus be able to offer you good prices for our goods.
Here we list in more detail how we may share your personal data:
– In order to be able to sell the goods you want to buy, we share your personal data with the supplier who provides the payment option you have chosen. Depending on which payment option you have chosen, it may vary exactly which data is processed by the supplier and how this is processed.
– We share your personal data with our transport provider in order to deliver the goods you bought to you or back to us if you regret or complain about your purchase or want to exchange your goods. We do this to ensure that the carrier can fulfill the delivery and send you information that your item is available for collection;
– We share your purchase history with the supplier we use to analyze how to improve our services and our offer to our customers;
– We share your personal data to be able to send marketing with the printers and shipping companies we use.
Fanny Michel also shares your personal data with selected external IT suppliers that we use, however only to the extent necessary for the suppliers to be able to fulfill their commitment to us.
If you want more information about exactly which companies or authorities we share personal data with, you can always contact us.
What rights do you have to influence how we process your personal data?
According to the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have certain rights regarding the processing of your personal data. We have described which rights you have and what they mean below. To exercise your rights, you are welcome to contact us, see contact details above.

Right of access
You have the right to receive confirmation of whether personal data concerning you is being processed as well as access to information about how the personal data is processed, e.g. the purposes of the processing and which categories of personal data the processing applies to. You also have the right to receive a copy of the personal data that is being processed.
The right to correction
You also have the right to have incorrect personal data corrected without undue delay, and by providing information to supplement incomplete personal data.
Right to erasure (the right to be forgotten)
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data if:
– the personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or processed;
– if you withdraw your consent on which the processing is based and there is no other legal basis for the processing;
– if you object to the processing provided that we do not have legitimate reasons for continuing the processing that outweigh your legitimate reasons for not continuing;
– when the personal data has been processed in an illegal manner; or
– if the personal data must be deleted to fulfill a legal obligation to which we are subject.
Fanny Michel deletes your personal data at your request, provided that we do not have an obligation to save the personal data in accordance with the EU Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other legislation.
Right to limitation of treatment
You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted if:
– you dispute the correctness of the data (but only for a period of time that gives us the opportunity to check this);
– the processing is illegal and you want us to limit the data instead of deleting it;
– you need the personal data to assert or defend legal claims but we no longer need the personal data; or
– you object to the processing if we have not carried out a balance of interests.
Right to object to processing
You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data based on a balance of interests – including profiling. However, this does not apply if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or if it is for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
You also have the right to object to your personal data being processed for marketing purposes, which includes profiling to the extent that this has a connection with such direct marketing. If you object to marketing and/or profiling, your personal data will no longer be processed for such purposes.
Right to file a complaint
You have the right to submit a complaint to a competent supervisory authority (without prejudice to any other administrative review procedure or legal remedy). Such a complaint should preferably be submitted to the authority in the member state within the EU/EEA where you have your usual residence, where you work or where a violation of applicable data protection laws and regulations is alleged to have occurred.
Right to data portability
You have the right to obtain the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transfer this to another personal data controller (data portability) when:
– the processing is based on your consent or on an agreement; and
– processing is automated.
You have the right to transfer the personal data directly from us to another personal data controller when this is technically possible.
